The blackberries are ripe for picking here in NJ, and we are avid fans of picking our own fruit! We headed off to a local farm to see what bounty was to be had....
While there were more red berries than black ones, we had no problem filling our containers....
Of course we had to try a few....
And when we were finished, we enjoyed roaming around this expansive farm taking in all of its beauty.
And when we got home we spent some time making some deliciously sweet jam.
What a wonderful day!
We have one blackberry bush in our yard (they are my husband's favorite), and it has been prolific this year. Beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are so lucky to be able to go outside everyday and pick the fresh berries anytime you like. I think I may try to plant a bush in my yard next year....
