This past week has been somewhat uneventful. I've been enjoying the cooler weather, fulfilling orders and spending time with the family. Since I haven't had too much creative time, I thought I'd just share some random images with you...
This is a pillow slipcover I made a few weeks ago - the original pillow was over 10 years old and white (or more like yellow). Slipcovers are so simple to make and can really add some personality to a room. This was made with Amy Butler's Lacework (sadly discontinued) and Full Moon Polka Dot in linen. Love it!
Here are a few bags hanging on my wall. Two two small ones are wristlets that are available in my Etsy shop, the orange one is an Amy Butler Pearl bag from her SweetLife Collection. I love the colors! And the blue one is a tote I made a LONG time ago with a Butterick pattern that I struggled with (that's putting it lightly). You can read about that endeavor HERE. I do love the fabric (Sand and Surf from Marcus Brothers).
Here is a set of tea towels I made for myself using some simple white dish towels from WalMart. They are just perfect in my kitchen! You can use the same technique from my tutorial on trimming towels to make these. So quick and easy and makes a nice gift too!
I have a birthday dinner to go to this weekend and I wanted to bring a small gift. I made this lined sleeve to dress up the bottle of wine I will bring....it just adds a touch of sophistication, don't you think? (I forsee a Scrappy Saturday Tutorial coming out of this one!)
And finally, here is the newest addition to my ever-growing collection of fabric. This set is from the Modern Affair Collection (Art Gallery Fabrics) which was just released this month. Lemon Calla Lily and Bright Fusion. The colors are very bright and will make for some awesome projects. Can you tell I like green?
I have promised myself that I will not purchase any more fabric until my stock decreases by at least 1/3 it's current size - it is getting a bit crazy!
So that's it for my randomness today....I hope you are enjoying this October as much as I am!
