TUTORIAL: Hanging Fabric Basket

It's SCRAPPY SATURDAY again!  This week we are back to sewing.  This tutorial for a hanging fabric basket will help you de-clutter around the house.

I wanted to de-clutter my refrigerator.  I got tired of looking at this:
My kids love their magnets, but they end up all over the place (including the floor), so I wanted to have a "place" for them.  This basket was the perfect solution!

A few fabric scraps and a magnetic sash rod (purchased at Wal-Mart for a few bucks) was all that I needed to clean up the magnets and make room for some artwork.

What do you want to de-clutter?

You can find the downloadable/printable pdf tutorial HERE

The best part is that I used some reclaimed fabric from an IKEA curtain that has been sitting on my shelf for almost a year for the exterior of this basket.  I also used some scrap canvas for the lining.  With a little interfacing this basket is nice and sturdy.

Enjoy!
