Pattern Review - Kyla Reversible Dress

Why I chose this pattern:
My youngest daughter is turning 1 in a couple of weeks and I wanted to make her a cute dress for her birthday. I needed something simple, cute and something I could sew in a short time frame (I have limited time). The Kyla Reversible Dress by Frog Legs and Ponytails fit the bill perfectly.

Difficulty Level: Anyone. This dress is simple to prepare and sew. The directions are super easy to follow.

What I Loved:
The quick and easy construction! The fact that the dress is reversible, and that it's so cute! Best part, the pattern is a pdf and you can print it over and over again. LOVE THAT!

What I Didn't Love:
Nothing really. Great pattern, great dress, simple and sewn in under an hour!

Suggested Changes: I will make my usual suggestion of edgestitching. Although the instructions tell you to topstitch around the top of the dress, they don't tell you to do so on the straps. I topstitched mine as I prefer this finished look.

Tips:
I made the dress for my 11 month old and used the 12-24 month pattern. I found it a smidge too big, so if making this for a smaller child, you may want to shorten it a bit.

Would I Recommend It? Yes! Support a fellow crafter and purchase this pattern here. Best part, it will be in your inbox within one day!
