Ok I know that I'm not re-inventing the wheel with this tutorial, but let me tell you why I decided to do it anyway. Aside from the fact that
A) I needed one, and
B) It's a perfect Scrappy Saturday project....
I just couldn't find a free tutorial for a checkbook cover that I really liked. Sure, there are a bunch out there, but many of them have you fold over the top and bottom (after assembled) to make the pockets and I just don't like the bulky look of that method.
I also wanted to create a downloadable, printable PDF for those of you who don't have your computer sitting next to your sewing machines, and for those who don't want to finagle with printer settings to get a web page to print out correctly. So that is why I am made this week's project a checkbook cover.
I have to say this was a fun and easy project. I love playing with coordinating fabrics and this project allowed me to do so (Yup, Heather Bailey again). I also love that it took about 20 minutes to complete. Yes, yes, by now you know I love things that I can complete quickly. Honestly, it takes me two to three times longer to create the tutorials than it does sew the project!
OK, enough of my babbling! You can download/print the PDF tutorial <<HERE>>
Thank you for this! I loved making these. I posted these on my blog.
