For me, sewing is not only fun and my job, but it is a way to feed my addiction to beautiful fabrics! It didn’t start out that way, but over the past 6 months I have to admit – I can’t get enough!
My most recent addition to my growing collection are a few prints from Animal Party by Robert Kaufman. I absolutely love the colors, tones and patterns!
Another print that is similar is “Spice” from the Creatures and Critters line:
And this one is called “On A Whim”:
Given the nature of my business, most of the fabrics I purchase have children in mind, however I like to choose tasteful prints that parents will love just as much as their babies. Let’s face it – there is a child in all of us – or at least there should be!
So where do I get my fabrics? Well, as a small business owner, I get the benefit of buying straight from the manufacturer….but buying by the bolt can get very expensive very quickly. Sometimes I just want a yard or two for a small project or a custom order. My favorite places to buy are eBay, Etsy and Fabric.com.
Fabric.com has a huge selection of designer fabrics and there are a ton of coupons floating around the web for up to 20% off your order. And if you spend over $35 shipping is free!
