Tutorial Review: Business Card Holder (Or Giftcard)

I was looking for a fun way to "wrap" some gift cards.  Everyone loves gift cards, but I find them so....impersonal.  Sooooo, what better way to give them a little more meaning than wrapping them in a handmade card holder that can be re-used for business cards, or credit cards???

I scoured the web for a quick and easy tutorial and came across a gem by The Crafty Cupboard.

This project can be made with tiny scraps (we're talking less than 6" square pieces), a button, a hair elastic and about 15 minutes.  Right up my alley!

Seriously, how can you go wrong?
The tutorial is straight-forward and easy to follow.  The only modification I made was to add some mid-weight interfacing to the small card sleeves to give it a little more body, but that is just my personal preference...it is fine without it.
Now those boring gift cards can have a little more meaning....

I loved this so much, I made one for myself to carry around my business cards!

If you want to make one, visit the tutorial HERE.

Enjoy!

  1. VERY cute! I'm in dire need of a new business card holder. I bought one on Etsy about 4 years ago for $5, and it is actually threadbare on the corners now! I've just been too busy (lazy?) to make myself one. Perhaps this should be my first project of the year? Thanks for sharing the tutorial link!
