This past Saturday was filled with lots of fun outdoor activities for my family. We woke up to a beautiful day and headed to town to participate in our community's annual planting day where residents volunteer to help fill the town planters with flowers.

Right after this, we headed out to our favorite local farm for our annual Strawberry Picking trip.

Every year we pick 2 HUGE boxes of strawberries to make into
jam and strawberry bread. I usually get three batches of jam, two of which I make the same weekend as picking, and one which I make sometime in the winter with a frozen reserve of the fresh strawberries. The three batches get us through the year with homemade jam.
