The categories for judging were originality, workmanship and presentation.
Not only is this mat colorful and bright, but is cleanly pieced!
Squirrel Bait Crafts took the dish mat a few steps further by using a microfiber mat instead of a towel giving it that nice plushy, foam-stuffed look. She also used bias tape to bind the mat which gives the mat a nice accent. And finally, the addition of the heart detailing just added that little something extra to snag the win. The stitching sank so nicely into the mat, don't you think?Headed out this week to Squirrel Bait Crafts is this lovely Jelly Roll from Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Enjoy!!!
I want to personally thank everyone who participated in the contest. All the entries were fabulous and each entrant added their own signature to the project. It wasn't easy to decide. My husband and I discussed each project in detail and even my kids weighed in with their opinions!
Here are all the fabulous entries (in no particular order):
iPhone Case (Carla) Modified the size, added Velcro and Carabiner Hook |
