The one thing that has bugged me for a while is the fabric under the glass of the table. This fabric is as old as the furniture and has gotten dirty and discolored over time....but it is one of those things that I just never had time to deal with. You see, the fabric is glued ontop of the wood that sits inside the wicker, and that wood is glued inside the table frame. The wicker is so old that it easily breaks if any pressure is put on it, so taking it apart is NOT an option, so I dealt with it....until this weekend!
Ick! |
I immediately ran down to my studio, grabbed some fabric, pulled the glass off the table and used it as a template.
How easy is this? |
Cut the fabric to size, serged up the edges and TADA! Ten minutes later I had a "new" table.
Really? Isn't it funny how simple solutions take forever to make themselves apparent?
I can't tell you how happy this 10 minute fix has made me! I hope you are having a productive weekend too!
Love those TA-DA moments. Like you I act on them right away and generally love the outcome. You had a great one with this table, it looks so fresh and clean. Great job.
