Fun Twirly Dress

I found a tutorial for a dress like this a while back and just had a chance to make this last week. 

I know summer is almost over, but the nice thing about a dress like this is that you can put a long sleeved shirt underneath with some leggings and it can be used all year!

This post was supposed to be a review of the tutorial, but to be honest with you the tutorial was absolutely dreadful and I felt that it would just be better for me to skip the review as I didn't really have anything good to say about it....

So instead of a tutorial review, I will share a quick overview of what I did....
I made a basic sleeveless dress (Riley Blake; Lovebirds).....

Took some of the length off of the bottom and added a coordinating ruffle (Riley Blake; Indian Summer).....

Used some of the same coordinating fabric for the bias tape around the neckline....

Put a button and elastic hoop in the back for closure

And let my little one have fun twirl around in the yard!
