A New Bag to Share

I've been crazy busy with entertaining my girls these last few days of summer break, but I've been able to sneak in a bit of sewing during the wee hours of the morning.  I'm busy preparing for a craft fair at the end of the month, so most of my sewing has been limited to custom cover orders and bag-making.

I really love making bags, even though they can be quite time consuming.  This particular bag has remained in my studio unfinished forever!   Remember a while back I designed my own bag pattern?
For whatever reason I never finished this but when I received my order of handle hardware for this fair, I knew that bag would be finished...finally!

Check it out...

The exterior is a canvas-type material.  It has a nice feel to it and will hold up well to the wear and tear of an everyday bag.

For the interior, I added a magnetic closure and a zip pocket, which really is a must have in a quality bag.

The straps are braided leather and the hardware is antique brass.  A perfect compliment to this bag I think!

I really would love to keep this for myself, but I won't.  I'm quite sure this one will sell quickly!
