(A) Olfa Rotary Cutter Heavy Duty 45mm
I rely on heavily on this rotary cutter. It is great for cutting straight lines. Totes, straps, pillow covers, and anything with a straight edge gets cut with this. It not only saves time, but it cuts through layers like butter. Paired with a nice cutting mat - this baby is indispensable!
While this isn't the sharpest of seam rippers, the handle is a necessity for me. I cut open thousands of buttonholes through very thick layers and the handle has proven it's worth. I can easily grab this, push it and control it without worrying about accidentally cutting through my stitching. If you use seam rippers more for opening seams, you may choose to go with a smaller, sharper one, but for my purposes, this one is perfect.

I have been using these scissors for years. I have tried many others, but none have measured up to these. The spring loaded grip paired with the super sharp blades make these one of my favorite tools. I can cut through layers of fabric without problem and they maintain their sharpness. I love that I don't have to open them - it saves the muscles in my hands, and the flat edge makes pattern cutting simple. I don't think I'll ever move away from these.

Another pair of Fiskars....these do not have the spring load that my other pair have, but I use these strictly for cutting through hi-loft batting. The contour of the handles, and sharp blades make this difficult task somewhat easier. Once again, I have tried many other types of scissors, but for this task, these have proven to be the best. Unlike the pair above, I do need to sharpen them from time to time but they sharpen nicely.

Another pair of scissors I just love. These are perfect for the smaller jobs. I use them to snip thread, clip corners, clip around curves, and cut applique. I actually have 2 pairs of these - one to keep by my sewing machine, the other resides by my cutting table.

Never have to stand at your iron for hours folding and pressing. This tool makes bias tape making a breeze. They come in many sizes - I use the 1" the most.

(G) A Chopstick
Ok, so not an official sewing tool, but I use this chopstick almost every day. It is a fantastic tool for pushing out corners, and turning out small tubes. The rounded edges won't push through your seams. I have a few turning tools, but honestly, my chopstick works better than any of them!
