TUTORIAL: Fabric Wrist Cuffs

Here is a simple and fun tutorial for a simple fabric wrist cuff which can compliment any outfit!  You can have fun with this by using different fabrics on the inside and out, putting some applique or embroidering!  Fun!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
> Fabric Scraps
> Interfacing Scraps
> Coordinating Thread
> Button

CUT YOUR FABRIC
> 2 fabric pieces 10" x 3" (of course you can modify this to your liking/fit)
> 2 pieces interfacing 10" x 3" (I used medium weight)

STEP 1
> Adhere interfacing to fabric pieces.

STEP 2
> Place both fabric pieces on top of one another and cut all 4 corners.  I measured 1" in from the corner on each side to achieve a 45' angle.

STEP 3
> Place the pieces right sides together and using a 1/2" seam allowance, sew around the perimeter.  Leave a 2" opening on one of the long sides to turn.  Backtack at start and finish.
> Turn right side out and iron flat, pressing the open seam inside

FINISH
> Top stitch 1/4" around the entire cuff
> Add a button hole on one side.  Buttonhole size and placement will depend on the size of the button.  (I placed the hole 1/2" in from seam on right the edge of the cuff)

> Add the button to the opposite end of the cuff.

And there you have it.
A handmade fashion statement in 10 minutes or less!

Enjoy!
