The case has a flap to keep the phone inside (although you don't HAVE to add it), and it has a tiny strap with a clasp so you can hook it wherever you want. Of course, you can make this strap longer so it becomes a wristlet....go ahead and modify it to your liking. You can even add a small pocket for a credit card or whatever.
While my tutorial does not give instructions on adding the pocket, I do mention at what point you should add it if desired.
Are you ready to make one?

Enjoy!
That's really cute -- love the pocket add on! Right now, I'm crocheting phone pouches, but this is the first sewn case I've really liked :) Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks TLC Inspirations! I used a 4"x4" piece of fabric (lined) for the pocket which worked perfectly. I tried crocheting once, but wasn't too successful at it....I may need to try again sometime!
ReplyDeleteIf you're all sleek, go for sleek and chic. If you're all macho, there will be an iPhone 4 case for you as well. Whatever you choose, make sure it compliments your style and reinforces who you are.
ReplyDeleteThat's really pretty. That's a very sleek project everybody can actually do themselves. You can actually earn some dollars for those posh cases.

ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for this!! I just got a new iPhone 5 and don't have my case yet, so I needed a "sleeve" to protect it. This fits perfectly... with room to spare, actually. I even added the front pocket as you suggested. Took me about 30 minutes start to finish. Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Glad to hear it fits the new iPhone 5, and you completed it in under 30 minutes! Enjoy!
DeleteDo you have any tips on how to tackle the stitching in step 7 and the top-stitching in step 8? Up until now I've only made larger items like bags, which fit over the free-arm.
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance
Andy
Hi Andy,
DeleteMy best tip is to go slow, continually check to make sure you are not sewing through both sides of the case and to work in small 1/2" sections. Sew 1/2-1", stop and re-compose the fabric. Make sure you keep your needle in the down position so when you move the fabric around the stitching isn't affected. I hope that helps! Good luck!

This is the best idea to keep safe your iPhone from any type of scratching.
