TUTORIAL: Car Caddy / Miniature Doll Carrier

As you know from my cupcake cone post, my daughter turned 5 last week.   She celebrated with a few of her friends at Chuckie Cheese's - which she had been requesting since her 4th birthday!  Since the party was small and included only a few of her closest friends, I wanted to give the kids something other than the typical goodie bag stuffed with penny toys.....

Remember this photo?
Well, those are toy travel packs which I whipped up!  A car caddy for the boys, and a miniature doll carrier for the girls!
How cute!?!?!

Each car caddy holds 5 Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars:
And each miniature doll carrier holds 2 dolls and has a large pocket for their accessories (I filled these with a Polly Pocket doll.

These took about 15 minutes per roll and the kids were ECSTATIC!  The Mom's were quite happy also - now they have an easy toy to throw in their bags for quick entertainment.

Would you like to make one of these?  I've created a FREE tutorial for you to download.  I only ask that if you use this tutorial to make products to sell, please give Sewplicity™ proper credit.  I know the car caddy is quite common, however I have not seen the Miniature Doll Carrier anywhere and would appreciate credit for it.

Thanks and enjoy!
