Yesterday we celebrated my father-in-law's 80th birthday. We wanted to bring him his favorite cookies so I searched high and low for a good recipe and came across this TRES LECHES MACROONS .Let me just say these are probably the best macroons I've had (and I didn't add the chocolate). Seriously...they should be illegal. I don't even want to know the caloric content.
The recipe couldn't be simpler. Only a few ingredients, a little mixing and you are ready to bake.
The batter was just as good as the cooked cookie!
