Finding Inspiration

Are you looking for a little  inspiration?  Today I thought I’d share with you some of my personal creative resources.

Amy Butler

It’s no secret that Amy Butler is one of my favorite designers.  I often visit her website to get ideas…maybe you can find something that “speaks” to you…

The Storque (Etsy’s Blog)

Etsy’s blog is a great source of inspiration for everything from crafting to running a successful business.  I find great advice and tips here.  If you haven’t already, be sure to check it out!

Joy the Baker

This site has absolutely nothing to do with sewing, but talk about creativity!  The owner of this blog has some amazing talent when it comes to baking and taking pictures.  I almost feel like I can reach into my computer monitor and grab one of her delicious creations.  She is absolutely the baking version of Pioneer Woman…just a little sweeter!

Sew4Home

From fabrics to fun projects, this site is all about sewing.  It offers lots of home decor tutorials along with tips, tools and techniques.  The site is sponsored by Janome – of course I love it!

Etsy

I have to add Etsy to my inspirational list.  There are so many creative people who have shops here.  It is so easy to get lost in all of the wonderful handmade goodness.  From gorgeous hand-stamped jewelry, adorable children’s toys to fantastic furniture….I’ve not only found tons of inspiration here, but make many of my gift purchases here as well – I can’t sew everything!

So there you have it….those are just a few of my inspirations.  I  spend a lot of my free time browsing these sites along with many others to find ideas.  The internet is such a great resource – I really don’t know what I would do without it!
