Why I choose this pattern:
I picked up this pattern because it seemed to be the perfect style and size tote for me. I needed something large enough to carry around diapers, wipes, a bottle, formula, all my stuff without having to carry the typical diaper bag. I loved the look of the bag it had so many pockets. The best part - the description said it was easy!

Difficulty Rating: Fairly Easy - Good for beginners who have mastered basic skills.
What I loved:
The promise of this being an easy bag to create held through. I think I completed this in less than 2 hours (including cutting and ironing). I do love the size - it is the perfect size for my needs, and I absolutely love the look of using two coordinating fabrics. You can create endless looks with this pattern. The size and amount of pockets worked well also.
What I didn't love:
A few things disappointed me with this bag, all of which can easily be changed the next time I make the bag...
1. Stabilizer Choice - The directions say to use Timetex or heavyweight interfacing. I didn't want the bag to have that "sturdy tote look" - I wanted a softer feel so I used fusible fleece which gave the bag a nice soft feel, but it doesn't hold its shape as much as I would like it to.
2. Handles - They have a little to be desired. I like handles that are a bit more "finished" than these.
3. Pockets - While I love the amount and size of the pockets, what I don't like is that they aren't "finished". They don't have a backing, so when looking in the bag, you can see the interfacing on the interior of the pockets -ICK!
4. Closure - It doesn't have an option for a closure. Although it offers easy access to the contents, I still like a little something to close it off.
Suggested Changes:
1. Use mid-heavy weight interfacing AND fusible fleece on all pieces.
2. Create sturdier, more finished handles (use the same technique as used in the keychain tutorial)
3. Line the pockets with another piece of fabric to create a more finished look.
4. Add a magnetic closure

YES! The bottom line is with my few suggested changes this is a GREAT bag and simple to create.
