I am happy to announce that I am now offering a couple of wipeable fabric options for my high chair covers!
Let me tell you a bit about what I'm offering and why....
What type of wipeable fabric do you offer?
I am proud to have added a couple of Babyville Boutique PUL options to my fabric selection.
What is PUL?
PUL is a polyurethane laminated fabric that is waterproof, yet breathable. PUL has a fabric side and a laminated side. You will not see the laminated side of the fabric on your high chair cover...it will be on the interior of the cover.
Is it safe?
One of the reasons I chose Babyville PUL is because it has met or exceeded the Consumer Product Safety requirements for Canada and the USA.
Can it be washed?
Yes! This PUL can be machine washed using warm water and a mild detergent. The manufacturer recommends staying away from fabric softeners and bleach unless absolutely necessary. The fabric can either be line dried or tumble dried on a low setting.
Does it cost more, and if so, how much more?
Yes. PUL costs almost twice as much as regular cotton. All covers made with PUL will cost $7.00 more than it's cotton counterpart.
Which fabric is right for me?
Debating between cotton or PUL? Both have their positives, but it comes down to personal choice. Both options offer a soft, fabric surface for your baby. The PUL will be a bit more "shiny" as it is made from a polyester blend. If you prefer more natural products, or have a budget to stay within, you may want to stick with cotton. I offer organic cotton as an option as well! If you are looking for something that is very wipe-friendly, choose the PUL.
What patterns of PUL do you offer?
Right now I am only offering a couple of pattern options. If there is a high demand for these, I will add more to my collection.

How do I order?
Currently I only take custom orders through a wait list on my website HERE.
Why has it taken you so long to offer a wipeable fabric?
I know...my customers have been asking me to carry wipeable fabrics for quite some time, however I was not willing to do so until I found a fabric that tested safe for babies. Vinyl and Oilcloth are NOT safe, please do not purchase high chair covers, or any other baby product made from vinyl, oilcloth or any other treated fabric that has not been tested and met the CPSIA safety regulations.
And there you have it! I make every effort to meet my customer's demands, however safety is my number one priority. I'm so happy this particular PUL meets both of my objectives!
