Yeah! I found some time to make this cute peasant dress from Sis Boom. It's called the Molly Peasant Dress, and it's available as a PDF download.
There are lots of options for this pattern....you can make a tunic or dress (any length), cap sleeves, long sleeves, 3/4 sleeves or bell sleeves. You can use one fabric or two. You really can customize this any way you like, and the directions are all there for you!
I opted for 3/4 bell sleeves, all one fabric. Although I added a fun scarf as a belt to dress it up a bit in the picture below.
The directions were super easy to follow. Plenty of illustrations which always help. This dress does not use any zippers, button or closures...just elastic which makes it a quick sew and perfect for a novice looking to make a nice looking dress for their little one without frustration. This took me a couple of hours.
The pattern includes sizes from 6 months to 12 yrs, so you can get some use out of it. If you have the child available you can get exact measurements, but the pattern provides excellent guidelines if you can't measure. Actually, my measurements were right on par with the suggested ones.
I will be making a tunic for my other daughter next!
If you are looking for a quick and easy dress pattern with lots of options, do check this one out! And given my experience with this pattern, I will be purchasing more of Sis Boom's patterns!
