TUTORIAL REVIEW: 3 Ring Binder Pencil Case

Back to School time!  

What better project to make than a 3 ring binder pencil case?

How cute is this?  Something fun like this can brighten up any boring binder don't you think?  I used a light canvas for the main fabric.  

The embroidery is from Meingue Designs (surprise, surprise) and the fun zipper pull is from ZipIt on Etsy - isn't it cool?!

This project is pretty simple and straight forward.  

I used THIS tutorial by LauPre as a guide. 

My only challenge with this project, and it is by no fault the tutorial's, is that I placed the zipper on the side of the grommets....oops!  It really doesn't affect the functionality, but typically the zipper is placed on the opposite side.  I didn't even realize I did that until after I took the pictures.....ha!

Anyway, the tutorial is super easy to follow and well written.  This took me about an hour to make and the most difficult part was pinning the binding to the case (I really don't like pinning).  

So if you are looking for a binder pencil case, I recommend this tutorial.
