A Collection of Tutorials

There is SOOOOOO much talent floating around the web.  Really!  One of my favorite things to do is to grab my cup of coffee first thing in the morning (before the girls wake up) and putz around on the web checking out all the wonderful crafty blogs.  This morning I did a a random search for sewing tutorials and found these wonderful posts:

I was so excited to find this!  A few weeks ago I followed a tutorial for a wristlet similar to this one (with reverse applique) but was not thrilled with the way it was constructed.  [You can find that post here] Well, this tutorial is EXACTLY what I wanted to do - use separate pieces for the top and bottom of the wristlet.  Thanks Javajem!

How adorable is this pincushion?  Could be the cutest I've ever seen....The coolest thing about it is that the larger one opens up to hold hand-sewing needles and a spool of thread in the back.  Love it!

Do you have a half of a yard of fabric laying around?  How about making this cute bag?  Tutorials that offer up creative ways to use up smaller pieces of fabric just tickle me!

What a great idea!  If you are into the layered look that is so popular these days, now you can create this band and get the look without bulking up!  And the tutorial is super easy!

I have one of these hampers in my kids' room that was purchased about 6 years ago.  The fabric is getting a bit worn-looking.  I don't know why I didn't think of this, but now I can update it to match the current room decor.

My to-do list just gets longer and longer , but these talented folks feed my creative passion.

  1. Great post! I agree...I love finding new tutorials. I did a search a couple of days ago and found a great site, Totally Tutorials. Here is a link on my blog of a collection of tutorials I've found when searching or blog hopping that you might enjoy: http://couponscraftsandcauses.com/crafts/craft-site-links/. I've added this post of yours as well.

    Have a great weekend,
