While browsing some sewing blogs I came across a tutorial by Patchyapple for a "boxy bag". I thought it was cute and wanted to practice my zipper sewing skills so I took it on.
The whole project took about 1.5 hours. All in all the project was pretty easy, although I found that the pictures and directions were out of sync a little. I also would have liked a bit more detail, and a few more pictures for a few of the steps.
But overall, this was a quick, fun project and I'm very happy with the final product.
Difficulty Level: Intermediate - I wouldn't attempt this as a beginner, the zipper is a bit tricky to maneuver.
Would I recommend it?
YES! This is a fun project that offers results in less than 2 hours, and the bag has a lot of potential.
TIPS:
Be sure to use a heavier gauge needle, as the canvas and multiple layers will break a regular needle.
Have fun!
